SEE AND DO
Culture
Numerous castles, domains, churches, museums and workshops can be discovered in the region. Some suggestions; the castles of Boussac and Villemonteix, the domain of George Sand in Nohant, the MuPOP in Montluçon, the museums and tapestry workshops in Aubusson, ...
Leisure and sports
Sports enthusiasts can indulge in the many cycling routes in the region (bicycles can be safely stored inside), and the mapped out walks (from short family hikes to the more challenging long tours). Water fun and adventure is possible at Lac de Sidiailles. There is also a trail among the trees for the younger daredevils in Toulx-Sainte-Croix
Nature
The Creuse is a beautiful green region with many rivers and lakes. The site of the Pierres Jaumâtres with its huge erratic stones definitely deserves a visit. The Lac de Vassivière, Puy de Dôme, Plateau de Millevaches, ... can be perfectly integrated into a day trip
Markets
Boussac has a lively regional market on Thursdays. From Easter there are also weekly flea markets in the area (see https://brocabrac.fr for the program)
Culinary
You can enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurants in the area. Some suggestions;
Le Central Boussac
On the market of Boussac there are some good brasseries where a plat du jour can be enjoyed
